Our teachers are highly trained in their art and skilled in the virtue of patience required of every good instructor. Austin Dance Arts offers year round classes, and we highly recommend that students take advantage of this opportunity to advance to their full potential. We are an accredited P.E. alternative for most area schools.

DEIDRE RUSSELL ROBINSON - Studio Director and owner, began her studies in Houston, Texas with Patsy Swayze.  She graduated from the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and attended the University of Houston.  Ms. Russell Robinson has had a long and varied professional career.  She performed for many years with Patsy Swazye's Houston Jazz Ballet Company, the Houston Ballet under James Clausser and the Juan Carlos Flamenco Ballet in Caracas, Venezuela.  Ms. Russell Robinson is a veteran of many musical theater and production shows from Bally's in Las Vegas to the Los Angeles touring company of "Jesus Christ Superstar".  She managed her own production company for King's International Hotels in Aruba before returning to the United States and starting a family.  Most recently, she directed Austin Youth Ballet for the Austin Contemporary Ballet company and was on staff at Ballet Austin, Tapestry, JWSD and D'ette and Co.  She has choreographed musicals such as "Fiddler on the Roof", "West Side Story" and "Diner" for Kid's Acting and the Capital City Playhouse, respectively.  Ms. Russell Robinson has been teaching dance in Austin for 15 years and continues her professional development and training by being an active member of the Texas Association for Teachers of Dance and a member and officer of the Cecchetti Council of America.
